Questionnaire id no. 222474

Please advise what I do next following the questionnaire result.

My pain is constant. Started with deadness/numbness in my fingers and increased to aches/pains in my wrist ... my elbows now ache constantly.

Many thanks
Jacqueline Lowe

Those are not very typical symptoms for CTS and it is unlikely that I will be able to offer any useful treatment I'm afraid. It would be more efficient for your GP to send you to the hand clinic where they can treat a wider range of problems. One strong possibility is that you might have trouble with the ulnar nerve at the elbow rather than CTS, though even for that aches and pains in the wrist itself are unusual  you can read more about it here. Hello i am really not happy with the results of completing the questoniar . I a Doctor at the surgery and he was sure about me having Kapal tunnel. How can i show you the pain .My entire hand back and front hurts from my fingers up to my shoulders. I have a a small bone pertruding out from my wrist. My hand hurts to move round in any direction. My thumb is extremly painful .
All this prevents me putting any pressure on the hand. Filling a kettle getting a dish into the oven getting out of the bath and turning taps on and off. Getting my jeans on and of all in all this painful hand is causing me great discomfort and a great hinderance to my every day life.
I hope that this will help you to reach a decision on treatment for this Karpel tunnel on my left hand.
Thankyou kindly
Louisa Ebrahim .

I don't think you have carpal tunnel syndrome I'm afraid. Your GP needs to refer you the hand surgeons to get whatever this problem is treated. Ask them to get on with it please. JB
