Deteriorated CTS

Hi
I came for a review with you February last year as my symptoms had worsened and I then had yet another steroid injection at Estuary View. Over the last 6 months the symptoms have returned and now have become unbearable, far worse than before. The right hand at night wakes me most nights with the hand completely dead, tingling and throbbing especially the middle finger. Driving is very uncomfortable and I feel dangerous as I am having to drive one handed frequently. In fact most things I do these days leaves the right hand being numb and painful. I have been wearing the splint at night but it makes no difference at all. Should I come and see you again or go through my GP. I just don't feel that injections are giving me the relief I need.

It sounds as though we should be considering surgery. I'll make arrangements to check your nerve conduction studies and we will book a surgery slot at that appointment. JB
