work and scar pain

Hi I advise on return to manual work after surgery and am looking for guidance in relation to scar sensitivity and timeframes for recovery in relation to this.Is there anywhere on the site detailing this or can you direct me to any research? Many thanks in anticipation. Jacqui
We don't currently have a section devoted to the topic I'm afraid. Time to return to work has been widely used as a measure of surgical outcome but is not generally reported in a way that would be helpful for advising people nor is it usually related to post-operative scar and pillar pain. It might well be worth doing a study to try and document it more fully. If I find anything in my literature store I'll put something up but it's probably better if we move this to the CTS topic rather than the website one so I'll move this whole thread ina few days. JB
