CTS just starting to come back
Hello, I cant remember when I had my 2nd injection in my right wrist? I think it may have been June 2014? My symptons have just started to come back again. They are not unbearable yet so I have started to wear my splint again & will keep you posted if it get worse which I am expecting over the next week or two, fingers crossed it doesn't. Just wanted you to confirm when I had my last injection done please?

One question I would like to know the answer to is: Is it better to re-inject as soon as symptoms atart to come back or is it better to wait until they get as bad as they were originally? We really don't know the answer... indeed we aren't even completely sure that re-injection itself is a good idea though I am thinking of trying to get a proper prospective trial off the ground. For the moment we are, on the whole, happy to leave the decision when to intervene further to the patient, JB
Thank you for your replies EK & JB. The pattern is that 5months is how long the 1st injection lasted, although I never got re-injected in my left wrist, so that's interesting. Yes I will wait until the symptoms get unbearable again. I am going on holiday for 2weeks mid December & was worrying my holiday maybe affected if in pain. If it gets a lot worse before I go, I will let you know & see if you have any cancellations if not I will just put up with it until I get home.

We can inject at very short notice if necessary - no need to wait for spaces just for injection. JB
The right wrist was injected 5.6.14 - just over 5 months ago. We are booking appointments now for early/mid December, let me know if you would like me to book you a slot. EK
