Time scale for injection relief?

I had steroid injections in both hands on Monday, it's only been 2 days but should I be feeling some relief even after such a short time? My right hand is no different, my left hand may be slightly better, say 10 percent but this could also be wishful thinking. I'm desperate for this to work in the hope of avoiding surgery as I have a 10 week old to care for.

Most people seem to feel the effect within 48 hours but some are delayed, exceptionally up to about 6 weeks though when people improve after that long I always wonder if it is just coincidence. Let me know again how it feels once we get into 2015 please - ie about Friday. JB
