Hello everyone havent been on for a while, but thought i would update you all... originally had the CTS in my left hand in Dec last year...its 4 months since i had theoperation, having physio on it as its still swollen and red on the wound site. Having electric shock feeling from my elbow to my wrist, on a morning i cannot form a fist, as my wirst and fingers are stiff... Also my physio thinks i have tennis elbow, and tendinitous (probably spelt that wrong) in my wrist and thumb. he also cant understand why my dr has left it this long until they have got physio for my hand. I have now been referred to see another hand surgeon as i am not happy with the way my hand is feeling at the moment, i am loosing my grasp in my fingers, im a keen gardener and im finding i cant hold tiny seedlings anymore, or carry trays of seeds...very frustrated.

Still no better then, sorry to hear that. It may be worth re-investigating it at this point with nerve conduction studies and perhaps ultrasund imaging, just to make sure that there nothing unexpected in the operation site. JB

Ive been back to the hospital to see a doctor there, he has referred me to get extensive physio for my wrist and hand, and also said i need some sort of support for my hand, apparently i still have an infection in my scar area and thats why its taking alittle longer to heal. Hes also referred me to have an injection into my scar tissue he has said that this should heal it better...dont know how true this is, but at the moment ill try anything just to get a little pain free.

Interesting selection of interventions. I'll be interested to hear what happens. JB
