Shoulder pain from carpal tunnel?

I have recently been diagnosed with carpal tunnel in my left wrist. Now that being said I have had four surgeries on my left shoulder in the past two years. My Dr who seems to not care I am still having issues with my shoulder. He says the pain in my shoulder and weekness in my shoulder is due to the carpal tunnel. Does anyone else out there have issues with shoulder pain and weekness due to the carpal tunnel? Thanks for any input.

You do seem to be able to get pain all the way up the arm with CTS but weakness of shoulder movement is not a known feature of CTS and is more likely to be due to your previous shoulder problems. Shoulders are difficult to fix. JB
