Carpal tunnel During day only
Do you know if you can have carpal tunnel when it only bothers you during th day! The math ngling and pain is never when I am sleeping!
There is a higher possibility it could be Cubital Tunnel Syndrom. Simular to carpal tunnel, Cubital tunnel syndrom effects the median nerve at the elbow rather than the wrist. Always have your doctor run diagnosis testing to be sure.
Sorry Rkj2792 but cubital tunnel syndrome affects the ulnar nerve at the elbow, not the median nerve, and gives symptoms in different fingers to CTS. Ulnar nerve problems at the elbow are usually easier to diagnose confidently than CTS because the distribution of the symptoms is usually more characteristic and most people are familiar with the symptmos of injuring the ulnar nerve form the commpon experience of banging your elbow on the doorframe. Both CTS and ulnar neuropathy at the elbow can cause symptoms either day or night time. JB
A minority of patients do seem to experience symptoms only while awake. I've always guessed that they are people with a particularly good sleeping position for CTS. JB
