Diagnosed with CTS and confused

Hi this site is one of the first ones i found while searching for CTS and i found more help here than from my doctors. My syndrome started almost 2 years ago starting with numbing feet then hand. I visited the doctors some months ago ,at first the Neurologist told me it's all in my head but i had an EMG and the doctor who performed it said i have carpal tunnel syndrome on my right hand but she said nothing about my left hand and the main Neurologist just recommends acupuncture which the insurance doesn't cover. My question is that everything on my hands is normal (motor function) but the finger tips are numb always, can it be that my CTS is worse than that Neurologist claims?

I'm not very impressed with a recommendation for acupuncture which is a treatment not very well supported by evidence where CTS is concerned. Symptoms in your feet clearly cannot be CTS so some other explanation is needed for that. The only well established objective way to measure the severity of CTS, at least until it gets too bad for effective treatment, is the nerve conduction study so we need to see those results to figure out how bad it is. If you can get a copy I can take a look at them (if I haven't already - but this is a new thread on the forum not a continuation of an old one). JB

Thank you for your feedback, yes i am not so keen about acupuncture after doing some reading i got a carpal tunnel brace and do some CTS exercises. I will try to get the EMG results from that Neurologist, the My CTS' page here is greatto help understand the options a person can have.
