Pain in forearm after Steroid injection

Diagnosed as having Carpel tunnel in right wrist. I had the steroid injection a month ago. At time of injection, forearm muscle went very hard and painful, on side of injection site. I thought this was part of injection, a month later, the muscle is now weaker, I can't lift things,or do things for long periods, as can feel the muscle 'pulling'. And becomes painful.. Is it still healing? Is this normal? Or has there been damage done? The symptoms of Carpal tunnel are better though!

No that is not a known consequesnce of a correctly performed injection. Hard to say anything else without seeing it I think. JB
