It's probably more likely that this is something else rather than CTS, the predominance of daytime pain is not really typical of CTS so although it's not impossible that this might turn out to have an element of CTS there is probably something else as well - arthritis or tendonitis being the commonest things. It would be more appropraite for your GP to refer you to the general hand clinic than to my specialist CTS service as it is more likely that they will be able to help. Please could you pass this message back to them. JB
