I think you deserve an award for keeping in touch - thankyou. I'm quite happy to continue as long as you feel the symptoms are not interfering with life unduly. At some point we should probably check how it's doing in objective terms with a new set of tests. JB

Hello Dr Bland,

Thank you for your reply.

Although the symptoms remain, they do continue to be manageable. For example, I believe that I would have a problem at night without the splint, but after all this time, wearing the splint is almost second nature and is no inconvenience. However, if you think a new set of tests would be advantageous, perhaps that could be arranged when I next contact you in February 2019?

Kind regards.

That sounds a fairly reasonable follow-up point. JB

Hello Dr Bland,

It is now 6 years since my last CTS Injection. Whilst my symptoms are still mostly unchanged, I do feel that they are very slightly worse. I seem to experience periods of numbness a little more often than previously. Nevertheless, my condition could in no way be described as unmanageable.

However, in your reply to me in August of last year, you indicated that you considered that a new set of tests might be of some benefit. Could you please let me know what your thoughts are in this matter.

Kind regards.

Lets test again and see what's happening. I'll organise an appointment in the next few weeks. JB

Hello Dr Bland,

I last had an appointment to see you on 28 March 2019. At that time my level, which had previously gone down to 2, had gone back up to 3. In the intervening time, my symptoms have become very slightly worse. You did recommend that I come and see you for another test in September. Could you please make an appointment for me?

Kind regards.

Yes we'll do that. The department is being redecorated in September so we will be a bit disrupted but we are hoping to continue a fairly normal service. JB

I've found a space on 18th September at 10:00 with Emma. The department will be in temporary accommodation while we are nbeing redecorated. I'll send out an appointment letter. JB

Hello Dr Bland,

My last appointment was on the 18th September 2019, with Emma. At that time, my symptoms were very slightly worse.

Since that time, my condition has fluctuated between being a little troublesome (slight aching and numbness) and quite acceptable.

I do feel that it is not essential at this moment to have further tests. However, depending on how busy you are at present, I would be happy to leave the decision to you.

Kind regards.

If you feel the symptoms are adequately under control then we don't need to do anything else about it at present. Just contact us directly whenever you decide it is a problem. JB

Many thanks Dr Bland.

As you suggest, I will contact you if the symptoms worsen. If they continue to be manageable, I will be in contact in six months, as usual.

Kind regards

Hello Dr Bland,

I hope and trust that you are keeping well during the current situation.

It is now, incredibly, seven and a half years since my last CTS Injection, in 2013.

My condition has deteriorated very slightly since my last appointment. However, considering the Covid 19 crisis, I am more than happy, and would prefer, to wait another six months before I come and see you. I am suffering only a little with numbness, whilst cycling and sometimes at night, but nothing that cannot wait until next year.

If you agree, I will contact you in February 2021 and possibly arrange an appointment then.

Kind regards.

Sounds a good plan. As ever you can contact us whenever you feel symptoms justify further treatment. JB

Hello Dr Bland,

I hope that you are well.

It is now eight years since my last CTS injection in 2013.

I last contacted you in August 2020. At that time, I indicated that I might ask you to consider arranging an appointment for me. However, as the Covid 19 situation is still very much in evidence, and my symptoms are no worse than before, I would prefer to wait another six months. If this is an acceptable plan to you. I will be in contact August 2021.

Kind regards.

We're pretty much running normally despite COVID. All the staff have been vaccinated and neurophysiology is pretty near the front door of out-patients so visiting us doesn't involve much contact with anyone else as long as you can get here without using public transport. Anytime you feel like a re-assessment just let me know. JB

Hello Dr Bland,

Many thanks for your reply.

It's good to know that if and when I feel the need to make an appointment, you have very safe COVID precautions in place.

However, as my symptoms are no worse than six months ago, I still think that I will wait until August for my re-assessment.

Of course, if my symptoms worsen before then, I will immediately get in contact.

Kind regards.

I'm locking this topic to stop the russian spambots adding rubbish to the end of the longest discussions. You can start a new one if you need to contact me. JB
