CTS symptoms worsening again after surgery
Hi, Thank you for your previous advice. I have recently had my other hand operated on around 3 1/2 weeks ago (open). The surgeon has advised that he thinks the surgery went well. He states that I had quite severe compression in spite of my NCS being mild prior to the operation. Over the past few weeks I have developed electric shocks in my hand upon resisted wrist flexion. There appears to be some developing intermmittent numbness in the tips of my thumb, index, middle and ring fingers. In view of my carpal tunnel being quite a severe one, would you expect some of these symptoms as part of the natural course of the nerve healing?
Surgeons always say that - it means nothing. It should be symptom free by now so those recurrent symptoms should be investigated. I'm going to lock this topic because new ones attract the spam.JB
