I am just checking to see if I am on the waiting list to come to the clinic

Carpal Tunnel

My arms and hands tingle constantly throughout the day and night , however during the night I wake up in agony several times during the nightand my hands feel as if they are on fire. Is there anything I can do to ease this and please can I have an appointment to see someone as the pain is unbearable.

Results

Dear Dr Bland,

Following my test and injections on 27th August I am pleased to say there has been no pain from the injections and a noticeable reduction in symptoms in the few days since.
Could I have my test results please ? I forgot to ask for them on the day and would like to update My CTS .

Kind regards

Appointment neede

Hi

Had a steroid injection last April, but it’s back and I need a clinic Appointment please?

Thanks

Andrea

Post operation

Have just received the telephone pre-assessment. That went fine. Having given the matter further thought however, I would like to ask a question related to the post-operation period. I understand I must self isolate for 7 days. Given that I am near 91 years old with osteoarthritis, to what extent should I be able to use my right hand - the hand which will be operated on ? I’m wondering how will I manage alone with: a) getting upstairs at bedtime - I use banisters on both sides of my staircase ? b) dressing/undressing ? c) all matters concerning toileting and personal hygiene ?

New symptom questionnaire completed

Hi Dr Bland. As requested by you, I've completed a new symptom questionnaire. RH carpal tunnel problems (2012/13) are largely under control, but it's the LH that's causing difficulty now.

Carpel returned

Hi Dr Bland

My carpel has returned over the last few months and feel it is time to see you again. Could you send me an appointment through please? I believe its about 20months since i last saw you.

Kind regards

2 rounds of steroid injections

Hi Dr Bland,

I have now had 2 sets of steroid injections (June/July 2019 and February 2020).
My hands (particularly my right hand) are once again starting to ‘go’. I’m not sure how long to leave before I should come back and see you. We discussed the surgery option it it reappeared and would like to discuss this with you please.

Thanks,

Francesca
