Return of symptoms

Dear Dr Bland

I visited the clinic for an EMG in autumn 2010 and had a steroid injection from Dr V Brown on 20 October. I can't remember my grading on the EMG. Symptoms minimal till April this year when I started riding Whitstable to Canterbury and back every weekday on my electric bike. Symptoms now as severe as previously. Bike only means of personal transport. What do you think I should do?

Many thanks for your advice

Questionaire

Questionaire as completed prior to examination by Dr Bland 20/7/11. May have modified some answers after discussions with him. Being retired I do far more physical work with my hands than in previous employment but could not find a space on the form to say so. nevertheless - exceptional service

Attend clinic app?

Was referred by the doctor to the clinic, but i completed questionaire and scored 1.8. Do i still need to attend clinic with such a low score. Don't want to be a time waster!

Pregnant with carpal tunnel

Hello

I've been to Canterbury twice before during my last pregnancy and following it. I have had steroid injections at a clinic in Faversham which have resulted in my symptoms disappearing. I am pregnant with my second child and the symptoms have returned quite severely in my right hand (and did from an early point in the pregnancy). I'm wearing a splint at night which is helping me to sleep better but it does seem to be getting worse. I'd like another steroid injection as soon as possible if I can. I am 23 weeks pregnant. Help!

Operation

Good morning
I should like to go ahead with the operation on my right wrist as soon as possible.
How soon after this operation can you correct the left wrist?.
Will I be able to drive within a week of the surgery?.
Regards Tony Biddle

post operative trigger thumb

i was asked by mr Bland to complete online questionaire. but im struggling to do this, because the carpel-tunnel problems have basically gone. its post operative problems that im suffering with.

Operation

Hello Dr Bland
After thinkinhg about my situation as you advised, I have decided that I would like to go for having the operation.Could you tell me how long I should expect to wait?
Thanks very much.

Postpone operation date?

Hello Dr Bland, I called to move back the date of my operation, but was advised to contact you first. It is currently fixed for 17 September, with Dr Rine, but there are a few logistical problems with being "offline" in late September, and having looked at the diary I would if possible prefer to put it back till November. If I could have the pre-operative visit on 22 October, then the operation on 05 November, that would be much more convenient.

I also tried to book an injection, but they are calling me back in a few days, because the computer was being unco-operative.

Kind regards

Steriod injection while waiting for surgery

Hello Dr Bland

follow-up steroid injection appointment

Dear Dr Bland, I left you an answer phone message today, but the receptionist informed me that this is a far better way of communicating. I was assessed by yourself in September 2010 by nerve conduction test and the result came out I believe as 1 for my left wrist, and 0.5 for the right. I was given a steroid injection into my left wrist by Dr Vernon Brown at the Estuary View Medical Centre in November 2010. The symptoms almost totally disappeared and it helped by left arm as well for 6 months.
