Request for appointment
Hi Doctor Bland / Emma
I'm suffering quite alot with pain and numbness in my right hand.
Is it possible to request an appointment for test and injection to tide me over until the summer when I can get this hand operated on?
Many thanks
Dawn
Severity assessment.
As requested by Mr Jeremy Bland.
I have filled in the questionnaire as of the 26/1/2023.
What can I do
Hi I'm on Gabapentin and Amitriptyline while the "pain" has been subdued to a certain degree, the same sensations remain. During the night my hands feel like they are 4times their size. The pins and needles is also driving me insane is their anything i can do? The only thing that seems to help is getting up and sitting upright. The pins and needles is getting worse during the days as well, the constant ache in my forearm and hands is draining.
Updated questionnaire 14th Jan 2023
Good morning, I have done an updated assessment of my carpal-tunnel. i would welcome the opportunity to come to the clinic. Steroid injections in the wrist have worked well before and maybe you could repeat the proceedure as I am experiencing more severe symptoms now. Kind regards

Thumb issues
Hi - recently having issues with my thumbs.
Mainly at night but also during work (on keyboard) my left thumb has a trigger thumb effect, as in it does not open smoothly.
My right thumb has same issue to lesser extent.
Is this related to my CTS would you think?
Many thanks
Left Arm and Hand
I have completed a new severity assessment this morning. For a couple of days now I have been struggling with severe pain, firstly in my left forearm and again in my left hand, mainly the lower quadrant, below the thumb. Pain is continuous, and, as previously, is completely untouched by co-codamol. Looking back on past episodes, I'm wondering if a steroid injection to the wrist would be helpful. However, I do need help please as a matter of urgency, my independence being threatened by my inability to use my hands normally. Many thanks for your consideration. Regards, David.
