Excruciating

Hi Dr Bland

I am booked for surgery on my right hand on 23rd Jan.
However, since the booking my left hand is worse than the right. This morning whilst trying to get ready I had such awful pain in hand it had me in tears. Wore off after about 40.mins and has just been tingly all day.
Do you.think it is possible to have op on left hand first rather than the right hand?
Also do you have any tips to relieve the pain when it occurs?

Please Help

Good morning
The pain and pins and needles in my hands now is becoming so bad, i struggle to sleep and when I do I;m often woken with pain and pins and needles in both hands.

I've had trigger fingers and thumbs, many steriod injections in my hands and my left thumb operated on. I've also had a steriod injection in my right wrist.

I really need some help as this is unbarable, as I type this its so painful.

Please help

CT in left hand

Hi there

I had CT in my right hand and had surgery on it in 2021.
This has now healed and is doing great but now I’m starting to get symptoms in my left hand.
I was a 5 on the scale on my right hand and a 3 in my left when I was tested.
I’m waking up 2/3 times a night with the same pain that I had in my right hand.
Would it be possible to come for a test to see if I need a steroid injection or surgery on it.

Thanks

Trigger finger?

Hi, I had carpal tunnel release surgery last year on both hands. My left middle finger is extremely painful and the pad on my palm. In the morning my finger is completely stuck bent and incredibly painful, the stiffness reduces slightly and I can click it straight but it is so painful. It is now affecting my daily life as I'm finding it hard to do things. I'm having no luck getting through to my gp about this, it seems, really hard to get an appointment.
Any suggestions please? This is driving me mad. Thanks so much. Laura.x.
