Request for new appointment

Good Morning Dr Bland,

Over the past couple of months I have started to experience issues in my right hand. It is mainly numbness of the fingers and thumb with the exception of my pinky finger.

Can an appointment be made to look at getting another injection. I believe it has been over a year since my last injection.

Kind Regards

David

A follow up needed.

Hi there Dr Bland.

I came to see you back in Jan of this year and you gave me the injection in both wrists. I have been pain free in both hands since then.
However, over the past few weeks the severe tingling and pain is back in my right hand in the mornings.

Can I please have an appointment to see you as it is affecting my work?

Questionnaire

Hello i have completed

Updated questionnaire

Good evening I have completed an updated questionnaire. It’s come around again to symptoms starting to affect my daily activities especially RH numbness Thanks

Questionnaire completed

Hi

Recently put a new questionnaire up

Right hand is a bit of a nightmare. Numbness is the big problem, painful but not sure all that is relevant. Dropping things again

Previous surgery

Beginning of September I had surgery on my right hand.

The hand itself feels much worse and I'm unable to do many simple activities activities such as opening bottles or jars.

Doing things are still very painful and the numbness has become worse in my 3 middle fingers.

The Birchington Medical Centre has asked me to contact you with regard to pain I experience in my right hand.

I have taken the diagnosis test which produced a 98% score for CTS.

Would it be possible to have a steroid injection to ease the symptoms please.

Kind Regards

Susan Dowdeswell

Update from steroid injection approx 6 weeks ago

Hello
I do not feel that the injection has done much to improve the carpel tunnel in my left hand.
The numbness is still there on a permanent basis and i find that as soon as i use my left hand (my dominant hand) the tingling and numbness and burning sensation gets worse much quicker than it did previously.
I don't know whether it would be better to have the operation?
I look forward to hearing from you.

Delighted with the treatment I have had

I just wanted to say a big thank you to the team for the treatment you have given me. Just under a year ago you told me that my CTS was grade 5 in my right hand and grade 6 in my left and that I needed treatment. I have now had decompression in both wrists, and, even though you told me I may get little or no relief in my left hand as it was so bad, I am pleased to say that I am now symptom free in both hands. The first time in decades!
The marks from the surgery are barely visible, it was all so worth it! Thanks again to the team, your expertise and the speed of your treatment.
Sue
