Symptoms in previous good hand

I had CT surgery last year on my right hand and the results have been amazing. My left hand is suddenly really bad - possibly made worse by my new job. If possible I'd like to try a steroid injection to ease it. Do I have to be re referred by my G.P ? If not how do I go about arranging this or discussing my options with you please? Thanks in advance.

Sleep

Hi Jeremy,

I haven't had an injection for quite some time because I wanted to leave it as I understand that the amount of jabs we can have is limited. For a good few years now, I have been waking most of the night with pins and needles in both of my arms. It is becoming intolerable now. Would it be possible for me to book myself in for a jab some time next week please, as I am off?

Darren

New questionnaire done

I have done my questionnaire

6 week injection feedback

Since having the injections the symptoms in both hands have greatly reduced ( although not gone away completely as with previous injections) . In my right hand there is no tingling but slight discomfort in the palm of my hand when I grip objects. In my left hand I get that same sensation in the palm of my hand and also slight tingling in my fingers. All symptoms are quite mild and not causing me any problems so the injections have relieved the severity of the symptoms. Thank you.

New severity score added

Hi I needed to fill in the questionnaire but when I signed in it only offered an updated severity score so I filled that in. Please let me know if I need to do something else.

is it possible that cts and lower back pain are linked

i have just been given splints to wear at night for cts , after two nights of wearing them my hands are a lot better (less numbness and pins and needles ).but also noticed a significant improvement in back pain ,

has anyone else experienced this sort of thing

i have a lower back problem which was treated last year with nerve block injections with only a small improvement . but did not want the undergo surgery at this point ,
i have had the cts symptoms for over two years but only just been diagnosed recently

Still no problems

Dear Dr Bland

Yearly report is still no problems.
Thank you.

Pain has returned.

Hi Dr Bland. Unfortunately pain has returned but more so now in my wrists than the usual hand problems. Is there any chance of further injections to help soon please. Many thanks Eddie
