Advice please

Hello I came and had nerve conduction tests in December and was told to contact the neurology department to ask them to give you permission to treat me, as they had referred me. I did this before Christmas but haven’t heard anything. Would you be able to check whether this is all ok as my arm is keeping me awake at night! Also I had an appointment with Mr James about a problem with my hand and he said he wanted to refer me back to you for nerve conduction tests on my ulnar nerve. Would it be possible to also check whether this has come through?

Next Steps after questionnaire - 225845

My ID is 225845.

I called my drs today regarding pain with my CTS. They advised me to fill in the questionnaire on this site. (Which I have just done).

I was wondering what is the next steps for receiving help with CTS as it dragging me down with sleepless nights and constant pain.

I live in Folkestone and wonder if I am in catchment area?

Also I have been suffering with CTS 15+ years and my old faithful splint is starting to see better days and I was wondering the best place to get a replacement?

Hope to hear from you soon

Ella

questionnaire completed

For the record: the symptoms recorded in today's questionnaire are mild compared to those experienced three months ago. An accumulation of activities exacerbated the numbness in my left hand and fingers I swim on a regular basis; up to three times a week. In November I was unable to complete my normal number of lengths I first experienced numbness in my left hand whilst swimming a couple of years ago. Recent X rays show I have severe subluxation degeneration in cervical spine - with retrolisthesis at C3

Steroid injection

Dear Dr Jeremy,

I’ve just done a new severity test and would like to try steroid injections again. Please let me know if this is possible and the availability.

Kind regards

New questionnaire

Afternoon Dr Bland.
I've done an updated questionnaire as GP requested due to pain in both wrists have got considerably worse especially during the day. My GP has put me on Amitriptyline for the pain . I'm using splints during the night and have started compression gloves for the day to try and relieve the pain.
Many thanks

Update on using the splint

Hi Dr Bland I attended your clinic in November 2021 and had a negative result but you did the ultrasound scan and gave me a splint to wear at night and asked me to let you know if I have any relief of symptoms while using it I have found that I did feel some relief and still use the splint more often than not I do still have pain during the day but find I am waking less due to pain in my hand. Please advise on next steps if any many thanks

Follow up appointment

Hi, just wondered how I can go about getting a follow up appointment.

Had steroids in both wrists last spring, however I’ve started to have difficulty again with zips, grip and fiddly things.

Pain comes and goes however I am reaching for the splints at night more now.

Many thanks
Tony
