Hello
My carpal tunnel has been bad in my left hand and I’ve left it and left it as have been trying to cope with it but it’s freezing up and tingling and loosing sensation during day, driving, hairdressing, and basic day to day things and waking up in night again, even though have hand strap on every night.
Can I have an injection please.
My right hand is much better after having the operation

CTS symptoms

Hi, for the last couple of months I have been experiencing CTS symptoms again predominantly in my right hand, it is getting to the point now where I am struggling at work as I am right handed, is it possible to be seen again ? I have completed a new severity questionnaire.

Hi, from what I can see I had my last injections early 2018, so they lasted well this time. However, I now have constant pain and tingling in my right hand and have completed a new questionnaire today. I look forward to hearing from you

I had my CTS operation on the 29th July 2021.

I had a telephone therapy appointment on the 7th September. I Was told I would have another in about 4 weeks but have heard nothing more.

I no longer have any pain in my hand, which is good ! My middle finger has a almost constant pins and needles/stinging nettle tingling sensation. My index finger and ring finger are affected sometimes.

I understand full recovery can take some time but was hoping for a better outcome by this time, can you help ?

update on steroid injection

In August I had a second injection for my right hand and I am pleased to say that I haven't had any numbness or pain since.One thing I have noticed though is that things seem to slip out of both my hands and I wondered if it could be carpal tunnel related ?

I have completed the questionnaire as per the letter received: 225102
One option that didn't arise in the questionnaire was numbness level on waking and after holding an object for less than 10 minutes. This would be severe for me.

Do I need to come to your clinic?

Hi Dr Bland. Saw you Last in January 2021 and was experiencing severe pain in left hand and numbness at night In both. I did have injections on both as mild/mod CTS but after discussion at appointment it appears it was probable arthritis in thumb joint on left hand, however bonus of injection is the pain went away. This returned about 6 weeks ago and my Gp has prescribed Meloxicam and was arranging for steroid injection. I was asked when rescheduling the cancelled steroid appointment if i was coming to your clinic so thought I’d better check with you before rebooking with the surgery.
