Recurrence of symptoms

Hi,

I wear a splint on my right hand at night. In recent months I have been experiencing numbers and tingling in my right hand, particularly when driving. I'm aware that the splint is abit loose having stretched over time. Please can you suggest how I should proceed from here? Many thanks.

CTS Update By Austin

Hello Dr Bland, Many thanks for your help with the login problem. This is my six monthly update. My condition remains very much the same. I continue to have mild symptoms, especially numbness when cycling and on the laptop. These are manageable and do not impact too much on my life. Might I suggest that I could come for a test in six months time (late February 2022)? At that time you could possibly advise me whether to continue with the six monthly updates or switch to annually. Kind regards

Ne Referral

Hi,

I received a letter asking me to complete the questionnaire and then comment in this forum once I have created an account, in order to get an online consultation with you.

New Patient

I visited my GP last Tuesday, completed the referral and had contact from Jeremy on the Thursday, all of which is amazing service. The pain and discomfort in my hand and arm has increased rapidly in the last week however and I am struggling to get any relief in any position at all. I wear a splint and take pain killers but is there anything else I can do until I get treatment to alleviate the pain?

Still No Problems

Dear Dr Bland
Yearly Update:
I am pleased to report that I am still having no problems.
Thank you

Struggling

Could someone please contact me to arrange an appointment for another injection and any help with night time as dangling my arms over the edge of the bed isn't as successful these days ,going through pretty rough patch at the moment

Appreciation

I wish to pas on my feelings on my treatment yesterday.
I was seen punctually, shown exactly what was going to happen, given shocks on fingers and then was told results would be shown to consultant.

Then told consultant would see me. Emma introduced herself, told me all my options. I decided injection was the way for me.

To my astonishment she said I could have it NOW.

All done within a few minutes-left after 45minutes a very happy and contented man.

Completed questionnaire

Hi I have completed the questionnaire I'm in so much pain with my arm and wrist I can't do anything it's that painful

Complete questionnaire

Hi Dr Bland
Thank you for helping me to log in, again.
I have completed the questionnaire. My right hand is driving me crazy. We are away and I have found that travel sickness bands are helping me during the day. The numbness and wrist pain is pretty constant for a lot of the day if I am using my hand to drive, type, chop, sew. Nights are worse and I can be up for over an hour with the pain.
