Left wrist

Hi. A few weeks ago I started getting stiffness and limited movement in my left wrist, over the last few days it has become unbearable. I am unable to lift anything and have pain from my forearm to the end of my thumb. I'm probably due another injection. Are you able to help or shall I ask at my local surgery? Many thanks.

Worsening symptoms

Hi, I am finding using my right hand very difficult especially first thing in the morning. Symptoms are getting increasingly worse. My last injection was in October 2019 so I may require a new test but would very much appreciate it if this could be done as soon as possible. I fully understand the Covid situation but would be pleased to know whether there is a chance of being seen in the short term. Thank you very much. Wendy B

Steroid injection

Hi there, I have had 2 previous steroid injections over the last 3 years, CTS has returned in my right hand, it’s quite severe and I’m having to wear a splint. I am now on dialysis and my fistula is also on that hand and I’m unable to wear my splint while dialysing and at times the pain is so bad that I feel I can’t continue with my dialysis. Can you please advise if there is a chance of an appointment for another steroid injection in the near future Regards Anthony

Recurrence of pain

Good morning Dr Bland.
I understand you are now offering a limited injection service. I had tests, and injection on my right hand in December this was very successful, but now the problems have returned. I am kept awake at night with the pain even with splint and I also have persistent tingling and numbness throughout the day. I tried filling in the questionnaire again but at the end it came back with NAN. Just wondered if I could be put on your list for a further injection.

I would like to request an appointment for a test and treatment as necessary on my left hand. I had CTS release surgery on my right hand in February this year which is improving well.
I would like to follow up treatment for my left hand in the hope that I can avoid surgery on that hand. However, I am aware of the issues at present related to Covid19 and that this might not be possible at present.

severe symptoms GRE

i was a known patient and candidate for injections following testing at your department last October when i was due for the injections bilateral, my symptoms completely subsided and was advised by Emma to wait and monitor my symptoms have suddenly returned without much notice, and much more severe then ever , again bilaterally My sleep is severely disturbed even though i am sleeping with splints, need at least 45 mins in the morning before my symptoms start to release before i can do anything, and is affected in most tasks during the day as my hands start tingling .

I have completed the survey as requested but I'm not happy some aspects of it as it didn't really relate I felt to me. I've done my best with what I was given.

My pain in wrists and hands has got worse

I was due to have another test performed on my hands but it was cancelled because of the covid 19 and I can not get to see my doctor only a telephone consultation which really doesn’t help me.i am in constant pain and it keeps me awake at night.i am on strong pain killers and using strong ibuprofen gel but it doesn’t really touch it.please can someone help me.
