Update from injections - 1 week on

I had injections in both hands on 2 January. My right hand (which was the worst one) is great, no symptoms left other than a tingling sensation when I put my hand up (as in stopping someone). However, I have a constant tingling in my left hand - which I didn't have before - which radiate out from my wrist across my palm towards my fingers and is particularly felt in my thumb. The tingling is also more intense if I put pressure on my wrist.
Can you advise if this is normal please?
Thank you!

More Nerve issues

Dear Dr Bland.

My last appointment with you was 22/11/2018 if my own notes are to be believed. At that point I'd had bilateral CTS decompression. Largely successful. I was awaiting Cubital tunnel decompression on my right elbow, this was carried out on 5/12/19. I've since had the same procedure on my left elbow on 17/12/2019. I had two PRP!!! injections at the same time, one for tennis elbow in my left arm and another at the very base of my thumb on my left wrist. the latter was for symptoms of arthritis apparently. Ive been experiencing very acute pain in the area (also a lump there).

Referral for surgery on my left hand

Hello Dr. Bland,
I came over to the clinic in November for a reassessment of CTS on my left hand. It came out as a level 3, and I had an injection at the time to alleviate the pain. I was also given an option for surgery. The Injection has eased the pain somewhat, but I would like a referral for surgery if possible.
Geoff Gambrill.

Morning, i have had my right hand operated on for CTS and very successful but my left hand hasn’t. I have had injections and now it is coming back. Please can i have an appointment for reassement & treatment. Thank you

Involuntary forefinger and thumb movement

Hi. I was treated by you, by means of steroid injections probably 6 months ago. All pain, including elbow pain that I had, disappeared for a couple of weeks. Other than that, the tingling etc returned to my hands probably 6 weeks later.

Update after injections 6 weeks

Had injections both wrists on Wednesday 30 October. I had a slight ache in the area of injection till late following day.
No further symptoms of the carpal tunnel but still had the pain in middle finger of left hand, although not as severe. After 10 days arranged an X-ray but all pain disappeared after 12 days and have been symptom free since. Slight lack of strength in wrists but put that down to galloping old age. Thank you so much. Will let you know if my developments. Happy Christmas to you all in the team. Lyndie

Update on 2nd injection on right hand

I had my second injection on the 7th October and am very happy with the outcomes. It took longer for the injection to improve all my CTS symptoms (approximately 5 weeks) but happily they have all disappeared. I'm able to sleep again now without being woken by the pain. It was the tip of my middle digit which took the longest to improve. Thanks once again for the treatment - I didn't want surgery and am very happy with the results!

Symptoms started again

Hi Dr Bland, is it possible to have an appointment? My symptoms are back again. I have completed a new severity questionnaire. Many thanks, Jo Heath

Update on Surgery on Right Hand

Just had surgery on right hand on 5th November at QEQM, was anxious of the procedure as had Local Aesthetic, but all was good did not hurt at all was like having Carpal injections, I removed the outer heavy bandage yesterday as they advised and am left with softer under bandage which advised to keep on until I have stitches out of which there is only three on 20th November at GP's Surgery.

Right hand

Hello, following my surgery last year my left hand is amazing and fully recovered however I'm now more aware of how uncomfortable and painful my right hand is. I wondered how I go about getting on a list to have decompression on this hand too please?
Many thanks
Aimee.
