Involuntary forefinger and thumb movement

Hi. I was treated by you, by means of steroid injections probably 6 months ago. All pain, including elbow pain that I had, disappeared for a couple of weeks. Other than that, the tingling etc returned to my hands probably 6 weeks later.

Update after injections 6 weeks

Had injections both wrists on Wednesday 30 October. I had a slight ache in the area of injection till late following day.
No further symptoms of the carpal tunnel but still had the pain in middle finger of left hand, although not as severe. After 10 days arranged an X-ray but all pain disappeared after 12 days and have been symptom free since. Slight lack of strength in wrists but put that down to galloping old age. Thank you so much. Will let you know if my developments. Happy Christmas to you all in the team. Lyndie

Update on 2nd injection on right hand

I had my second injection on the 7th October and am very happy with the outcomes. It took longer for the injection to improve all my CTS symptoms (approximately 5 weeks) but happily they have all disappeared. I'm able to sleep again now without being woken by the pain. It was the tip of my middle digit which took the longest to improve. Thanks once again for the treatment - I didn't want surgery and am very happy with the results!

Symptoms started again

Hi Dr Bland, is it possible to have an appointment? My symptoms are back again. I have completed a new severity questionnaire. Many thanks, Jo Heath

Update on Surgery on Right Hand

Just had surgery on right hand on 5th November at QEQM, was anxious of the procedure as had Local Aesthetic, but all was good did not hurt at all was like having Carpal injections, I removed the outer heavy bandage yesterday as they advised and am left with softer under bandage which advised to keep on until I have stitches out of which there is only three on 20th November at GP's Surgery.

Right hand

Hello, following my surgery last year my left hand is amazing and fully recovered however I'm now more aware of how uncomfortable and painful my right hand is. I wondered how I go about getting on a list to have decompression on this hand too please?
Many thanks
Aimee.

Constant pain

Hello, I had steroid injections in both wrists earlier in the year and my symptoms lessened and at points went away but over the last few weeks my left wrist has become very swollen and painful all day every day at the moment.

Could I please have an appointment?

Hi Dr Bland. The CTS symptoms have returned in both hands although more so in my right hand. I have completed a severity test on line. Is it possible to have an appointment please?
Regards
D. De Paolis

Returning symptoms - can you help

My symptoms have returned to my right hand, tingling and numbness. Can I return to the clinic please?

Diagnostic Questionnaire

I have just completed the diagnostic questionnaire which says it is unlikely to be CT.
This surprises me as both my physiotherapist and doctor seem to think it is.
