Advice

Hi Dr Bland, I have trailed the splints on both hands at night for two weeks as agreed. During the trial neither of my hands went to sleep. Having a nap during the afternoon without the splints resulted in waking up with my hands having gone to sleep. Having trailed the splints for two weeks as agreed, what is the next step. N A

Update on Treatment

After wearing splints on both wrist at night for three weeks, I can report that there is a slight improvement at night, but no change during the day. But I shall carry on and hopefully as time goes on there will be more of an improvement.

Advice please

Good evening,

Injection appointment

Dear Dr Bland,

Following my recent CP check up, scan and chat with practitioner Emma, was wondering if it was possible at all to be sent an appointment for steroid injections in both wrists, seeing as this has helped my nightly numbness in the hands and pain on repetitive movement before.

Many thanks, once again.

Imola

Need an appoinment

Hi, I was tested and found to have mild CTS. I have been wearing splints at night and it did help but now even with the splints I am waking up in pain. Last night was unbearable, if somebody had offered me a saw I would of chopped my hands off there and then! Could I please have an appointment so I could try something else? Many thanks, Joanne

Follow up of steriod injection on 19.10.2015

Big thankyou, after injection number 3 in my right wrist, things took about 3 weeks to settle and feel real benifit, but can honestly say that now it is at treat to go to bed knowing I will get a good nights sleep and only wake once or twice throughout night with very slight pins and needles, without wearing hand braces on both hands. As before I wish I could get the same injection in my neck.
But thankyou and your marvellous team for all your help.

Kind regards
Bill Burns

Pain back in left hand

Hi Dr Bland,

I had surgery on my right hand just over a year ago now and all has been well. The left hand seemed to improve too.
However, over the past couple of months, pain and numbness have returned to my left hand and I am starting to wake again at night.

Would you advise for me to come back to see you?

Many thanks
Lisa
