back again

The effect of my second injections, initially completely successful, wore off in my left hand several months ago. Since when, I have prevaricated ... the condition is not debilitating and does not appear (though it's very difficult for me to assess objectively) to be worsening - but it is becoming a source of increasing unhappiness: the knowledge that a range of ordinary activities such as cycling, gardening and simple DIY are likely to cost me a disturbed night and nagging pain the following day, is a distraction and a disincentive.

Review please

Hi,

Symptoms recurring in left hand. Right hand was operated on at Herne Bay last year and now symptom free. Left hand symptoms did improve as you suggested they might after surgery to other hand but in the last few months severity is increasing. Also have been started a statin (Lipitor 20mg od) any connection??

Would like to be considered for surgery to LH.

Thanks,

AK

My Left Hand

Dear Dr Bland,

It is aproximately 3 months since the operation on my left hand, I am still having problems with it, although the pain I experienced at night is much improved, I now experience pain when I apply any pressure on it. I have waited this amount of time to see if it improved, however the pain does not seem to e improving. I have had the cortisone injection in my right hand, and so far so good. What is your opinion of my current problem

Request for Consultation

Dear Dr Bland,

I have had a series of steroid injections in my wrists - 2 in the left and 4 in the right. Last summer I had steroid injections in both wrists, which worked well for a while but my right wrist is causing problems again - pins and needles when I hold anything. Can I arrange an appointment to see you please? NB I am away for the next 2 weeks.

Best Regards

Winston Waller

CP Surgery

I know it has been a while, had all my physio on my shoulder which is now a lot better. Things are beginning to settle down at home and I feel the hand has got worse and would like to sort out surgery options. If I need to see you first can you send me an appointment, if not can you let me know what dates are available for the operation?
Thank You,
Christine Griffin.

Still in pain

I have been wearing the splits for nearly four weeks but it hasn't made any difference still having a lot of pain not sure what we do next

Update for EKH087374D

Further to my appointment on 18th May 2015 when I saw the Practice Nurse, Emma?
After the tests I was given a new pair of splints and it was suggested I contact your clinic in about four weeks.
I can confirm that the pain seems to have subsided, and although there is still continuous tingling/numbness it does not wake me in the night as frequently as it did. I think the new splints have helped and I am also wearing the left hand one during the day, when driving, carrying shopping etc.
