After first appointment
Hello Dr Bland,
I had a first appointment on the 23rd of February and You gave me splints and asked me to contact after four weeks of wearing them to discuss progress in treatment if there is any.
CTS Injections
Hi, I last had my injections June 2014. I have been putting off asking to have them again as long as possible but I am now experiencing extreme pain at night time along with total numbness in both hands tho my left is somewhat worse. Could you fit me in please to have them done again? I can be pretty flexi but Mondays or Tuesdays would suit me better. I just long for a good nights sleep! Many thanks.
Post-surgery advice please
I had surgery on my right (dominant) hand on 24 January (I also had surgery on my left hand last August). II know it's only just over 7 weeks ago but the healing process seems quite different this time. The carpal tunnel symptoms disappeared almost immediately and I would guess there has been a complete cure. However for the past 2 or 3 weeks I have been experiencing wrist pain which, at times, is severe.
My hands
Hi jb I'm back my hands are getting bad at night again waking me up with pins needles had trouble with holding I pad phone book for long period time have done new test for you to look at my finer went numb the other day Xx
Normal nerve conduction test results.
Had tests 2nd March 15 . Normal results. Symptoms have become worse since test and so have visited GP today.
GP has reviewed results and referred me for physiotherapy. Will report outcome,in due course, on this forum.
whether to wear splits?
Good evening, I had injections in both my wrists this afternoon, I was just wondering if I should also continue to wear my splints?
Thank you x
Post Operation Update
I had operations on both hands for my CTS last July and September. Although my left hand was operated on first the site is still a little sore and I have to massage it a fair bit to relieve the pain. I assume that this is some residual scar tissue. But, the symptoms of the burning pain and numbness have all but dissapeared. However, I am now experiencing soreness in my thumb joints and any task that requires me to use my thumbs pressing down i.e. unclasping my seatbelt, etc. is very painful. Is this related to the CTS?
Getting more hand problems.
I seem to be getting less numbness now which is good but considerably more pain that seems to be in the middle of the thumb joint/muscle?? It is getting pretty bad and getting so it is painful to practice for any length of time. Was I going get some xrays done or should I make another appointment? Sorry for the trouble, Pete Allen

Dear Dr Bland
I had my last steroid injection in my left wrist in Feb 2014 and my last test in 2013. I am currently experiencing severe night pain in my left wrist which is waking me up almost hourly throughout the night. Can you please refer me to Dr Brown for another injection urgently.
