bruising at the base of my index finger

Hi, I'm not sure if this is anything to do with the cps. But I noticed today a sharp pain at the base of the index finger on my left hand, there was what appeared to be a vein protruding and within moments it turned to a dark bruise across the base of my index finger. It is uncomfortable rather than painful. It's this normal following the injection, or nothing to do with it. Thanks.

My first injection

Hi,

Right hand problem returning

Hi Dr. Bland,

The right hand symptoms are returning unfortunately. I'll start to wear the hand support to delay the need for a visit for an injection as long as possible, but can you be prepared for a call for help before too long.
Also noticed your appeal for people, sorry hadnt seen it sooner. If you still need recruits pencil me in.

Time scale for injection relief?

I had steroid injections in both hands on Monday, it's only been 2 days but should I be feeling some relief even after such a short time? My right hand is no different, my left hand may be slightly better, say 10 percent but this could also be wishful thinking. I'm desperate for this to work in the hope of avoiding surgery as I have a 10 week old to care for.

revisit

Went to Canterbury on 9th December for what I thought was just test, what a nice surprise when I was offered and given a second steroid injection there and then , so much better than waiting for further appointment and full credit to all staff involved for making it stress free, big thank you.
Didn't really feel anything to say wouldn't have that again, took about two day's before taking affect, and nighttime being the best, would be heaven if it could be done in neck.
Thank you again and merry Xmas and happy new year to Doctor Bland and his very professional team.

Need Advice for Mother

Please can you advise me - my mother saw you last year and following this had bilateral steroid injections locally. These helped with the pain which is now minimal. Recently, however, she has been experiencing paraesthesia in her fingers and loss of dexterity. I would appreciate your opinion as to the next course of action if possible bearing in mind that she is 92 and not very mobile.

Thank you - Chris Pryce (Mrs)

2nd steriod injection

Had 2nd steroid injection yesterday. I never felt the first one at all and the result were total loss of symptoms in 48hours. This injection whilst not painful felt as if there was pressure. My wrist, thumb and forearm is sore today like a mild sprain but this is probably a bit of bruising. Its not stopping me doing anything just aware of slight discomfort. Will update progress.

Symptons returned.

Dear Dr Bland, it's 18months since my last injection and the symptons have now fully returned in my right hand and to a lesser extent in my left. I'd be most grateful if you could arrange an appointment for me in the near future. Regards David

Received Steroid injections

I received steroid injections in both wrists yesterday afternoon. Had the best nights sleep last night for some time, I still have pain, but I know that it is early days as yet. I was very impressed with the efficiency and lack of red tape demonstrated by Dr. Bland's team. in providing speedy treatment and explaining the issues connected with CPS.
