Surgeon appointment?

I last saw you six weeks ago, and was told by your practice nurse that I have to have the surgery and that a referral to the surgeon would be made. I was also told to inform you if I hadn't heard from the sureon within six weeks and that you would chase it up for me.

Well, it's been six weeks and I've not heard anything! Please could you chase it for me?

Many thanks.

appointment please

Dear Dr Bland,

I was wondering if I could have a follow-up appointment to check both my hands and have a new injection in both this time. Although they don't go numb in the night as they did before (I wear splints every night), they get tired during the day and sometimes tingly. It would be great to come and see you any day between 26 July - 5 August in Canterbury.

Many thanks.

Returning symptoms

Dear Dr Bland

I had my injection on the 9th September 2013 and although I still suffered loss of feeling when hoovering (I blame the Dyson roller ball for that), I have had no problems until May. I have returned to wearing my splint at night for the last 2 weeks (It is not waking me through loss of feeling) due to pain and aching in my wrist and fingers throughout the day.
I notice mostly that I am not able to do certain exercise moves ie press ups at all now, hoovering is painful and I struggle to open jars etc, driving also can be painful even when I am trying not to grip.

keeping you posted

Hi Dr Bland and Emma

Am back from my holiday and wanted to tell you that both wrists have been absolutely fine. long may it continue.

Best wishes GW

My hands

Hi jb my hands are still ok just letting u no xxx

Deteriorated CTS

Hi

3 months on from my op

Hi,

I have just had my three month check up by my dr who was a bit clueless as to what to look for. I made a note on the paper work but I'm not 100% when if they would have sent it.

I had the op in my right hand 8/3/14. I have to say the relief from my normal cts symptoms was pretty much instant, it was amazing. A bit freaky though having someone sitting there telling you the nerve looked very swollen, half of me wanted to look, the other half knew I would pass out in seconds! It was definetly not half as scary as I thought it was going to be.

Wrist problems

I had my second injection in my right wrist in autumn last year and the sympoms reduced considerably. In the last month and a half, thesymptoms have started to come back.
Would it be possible/sensible to have another injection?

Regards

Akita

progress after injections

Hi, I recently had more injections in both wrists and I would just like to thank you and say that my carpel has much improved. I have far more strength back in both hands and can now continue with my job (gardening) with no problems. I still have numbness in my fingers on and off at night but no pain at all, which is such a relief as I am now getting a reasonable nights sleep. I also find the injections totally painless.

Many thanks once again.

Right hand

I had an injection in both wrists. The left wrist is okay. But the righ hand seems to be getting worse. It was fine for a few months, but as summer came as did the manual labour, gardening and such. Do you feel sugery or another injection would be the best way forward. How do I go about revisiting the clinic?
Regards. Paul
