Wrist Splints
I came into the clinic for diagnosis on Monday 12th May and have been wearing the wrist splints every night since then, I have not really noticed any change in my symptoms and am still experiencing pain in both hands and wrists during the day and night. I understand that the next stage in treatment would be to have injections which would hopefully alleviate the pain and tingling sensations that I am still experiencing.
I look forward to hearing from you
kind regards
Lisa
Wrist splints going well.
Good Morning Dr's
I came to see you on 12th May 2014, James Wickenden (Web Designer)
The splints you gave me have worked at the moment, the first couple of weeks have been good and pain has decreased quick alot. The nights i have woken up and taken them off due to discomfort i have noticed the pains have returned in the morning or later in the day.
I will keep going with the splints and see how the long term works out. Unless you think otherwise.
Many thanks for your time
James Wickenden
Carpal has returned
Hi, I had the cortisone injections done late last year with great success, unfortunately it has returned and I have been suffering with pain and numbness esp at night. You mentioned that i would be able to have them done again, is this still possible as it is now affecting my work? Many thanks.
Significant reduction in symptoms-wrist support
Tingling/numbness on left hand is minimal now, although I have started to get the odd pain in both wrists which I never had before. Could you say if this is normal and symptoms could return, or am I very lucky?
Its back......again!!!!!
Hi Jeremy, well following the 4th injections in January the Left hand has got bad again in this last two weeks, it has become very painful in the wrist day and night just below the thumb with pins and needles during night, and a definite weakness and pain when trying to lift anything with it even a cup of tea..
Right hand has started with pins and needles and last night woke with pain in the wrist also.
Would value you opinion but think I am now heading down the road of surgery?
I have done a new assessment this morning.

Steroid injections
Dear Dr Bland
I had my consultation with you on 7th April but my steroid injections could not be booked until 2nd June by Ashford. I am having them done at Wye, Will my operation have to be booked through Ashford and will I still be able to have it done at Herne Bay as I have heard good results of Herne Bay. Have just read your post about the changes that took place recently.
Kind regards
Steroid Injections
Dear Dr Bland
Steroid injections are booked to take place on Monday 2nd June for both wrist, I will inform you of the outcome in due course. At my appointment we discussed the operation for my right wrist and I said August would be better for me as working less that month, however 16th - 19th of August I am unavailable. You did say this could take on a Saturday morning at Herne Bay I think . That would be fine with me if August could be arranged. Kind regards
Constant pain in wrist and hand
Hi,
Just over 2 months ago I had the injection in my wrist. It had resolved the tingling until last week. I've lost the ability to grip things as small as a fork properly. My knuckles on all joints ache lots. Every finger has become tingling and numb. This has become constant over the last couple of days. I can't get relief from it even with my splint. Please advise as to what I can do.
Back with a vengeance
After nearly a year since my last cortisone injections, the symptoms of numbness and tingling etc. are back with a vengeance.
Can you do anything please?
Thanks.
