CTS Request for help

I originally attended Dr. Bland's clinic on 1st March 2012 in respect of my CTS. I was given a splint for each hand which over the years has proved most helpful, and since that time I have worn the splints at night (with occasional lapses as both hands seemed to be better). However, for the last five months the tingling in the left hand has considerably worsened and has now got to the state where it is present during the day and keeping me awake at night with the discomfort.

Carpal Tunnel results after 3 weeks

Hi
I have been wearing hand braces at night time for 3 weeks and went without them for a few nights and found that cramping came back so I put them back on for anther week, but find at moment if I take them off I get the cramping in hand back also I now am having some pin and needles and numbness in day time too, can I keep wearing hand braces to bed? do I need new ones? and can I wear in day times when at home?

Thanks Carol

Re assessment

I have not been to your clinic for nearly 2 years. My fingers have become painful in the joints and I get a lot of tingling and numbness in my fingers, particularly right hand, I am not sure if this is CTS or nerve entrapment in my neck which is causing these symptoms. I have retaken the assessment on line

Symptoms returned

My symptoms have returned mainly in my left hand, would it be possible to have another injection? Thanks

Referral appointment

Dear Mr Bland

When I last saw you, you suggested you were going to refer me to a rheumotologist. I have not yet had an appointment through. Please, could you look into this for me?

Thanks

Day 10 Post surgery

I had CTS surgery 10 days ago and found the procedure relatively pain free and very straight forward. As you are aware I am on strong painkillers for a pre existing condition and until Sunday, suffered no pain from the surgery whatsoever. However, I am now experiencing pain in my middle and ring finger, as well as the Palm Side of my wrist. There is no sign of an infection of any kind and the wound is healing very well. I am slightly concerned with the pain I'm getting as I consider myself to have a high threshold. Is this a normal part of the healing process?

CTS

First night with splints on both hands !
I woke this morning for the first time in months with NO tingling in my hands or fingers NO swelling of my fingers NO pins & needles !! The first of many successes I hope !
I wasnt woken in the night by pain in my hands or elbows and I didnt wake in the night with no feeling in my hands!! The splints woke me several times but Im sure I will get used to them.
Lets hope the improvement continues !
Thank You. !

Symptoms returned

Morning Dr Bland, I had injections in May last year in both wrists & on the whole I have been symptom free except for a few nights here & there when pins & needles woke me. However, over the last 2/3 weeks I have woken every night with pins & needles & wondered if I could come & get re tested? I can see that things are busy & I'm also away 3rd - 11th April but if you could fit me in sometime, I'd be grateful. I'll start wearing splints again. Thanks Caroline.

Hand Bad Again

Hello, I'm getting in touch again as my hand has become incredibly painful and I wonder if I could arrange an appointment to come in. My hand has been numb with limited mobility for over a year. Many thanks. Jo
