In the section describing the number of figures and thumb affected by pain etc. There was no box to tick regarding my condition. My thumb and three fingures suffer but there was place to indicate this condition. Other configurations were suggested but not this one. I was advise to tick others but was not allowed to describe my condition

Have I now developed Dupuytrens

Hi Jeremy.

Well I have receoved well from both the left and right CTS operations and the pins and needles are virtually non existant, unless I sleep funny. The strange thing I now have is a lump come up in the palm of my left hand which is about 1&1/2inchs below my middle finger and wondered if its the start of Dupuytrens as I have read that these are common after CT surgery and to make matters worse I have also been diagnosed with osteorthitis in both my hands...it never rains when it can pour does it.

Look forward to your thoughts.

Angela.

Return of carpal tunnel symptoms

Dear Doctor Bland
Having been referred to Doctor Worrellow at Charing surgery last June he gave me steroid injections to both wrists
which had immediate affect ,until now.The symptoms have returned ,Doctor Worrellow did say to me that this may happen and that I might need for the injections to be repeated and he would do this for me.If this is possible please could you advise me how I can arrange it

Many thanks

Call

Hi Emma
Would you be able to contact me following my left hand injection on Monday. I will be available on my mobile number.

Thanks

Steroid Injection

Hiya. Firstly thank you to the wonderful ladies who tested me and treated me on my visit on 21st January. Unfortunately, the injection hasn't worked in my left hand and if I am being impatient then I apologise as I was expecting an instant change. I know that Emma will be emailing me six weeks after my visit but I think I am ready for the operation as this worked on my right hand 20 years ago.

Question for Dr Bland

I came to see you on December 14. You may recall that in 2003 I consulted you and, after tests, I was told I had CTS in my right wrist but at that time I declined surgery. In December having had an initial Consultation and impressive Tests with one of your colleagues, followed by one with you, I learned that my CTS condition was 75% better than in 2003. You advised that one option was an injection. This is not an option I wish to pursue.

I had surgery on my left hand at the end of October, performed by Dr Rine at Reculver. The experience was not disagreeable, the procedure conducted very smoothly and confidently with every effort to put me at my ease. There were no after effects save the expected soreness, which did not last very many days. The great benefit is that I have not had a disturbed night's sleep since.

Notes

Hi. I still haven't heard anything from you. The last time we spoke you were going to look through my notes but that's been at least 2 months ago.

I'm still in so much pain with my elbows and still have knumbness in my fingers. I need some help as I don't know what to do next.

Regards

Waiting for surgeons appointment

Hi Dr Bland

I attended your clinic on 07/01/16 and you diagnosed a severe case of Carpal Tunnel and was going to refer me to my local hand surgeon. I was just wondering when I should hear something and what the referral procedure was as it is quite painful. Sorry for bothering you and thank you for you and your teams excellent treatment.
