RE splints update
Have worn splints for 3-4 weeks since seeing you which had slight affect but not much, as still getting some numbness in right hand through the night/early hours. I have not worn them for 2 weeks ( when I was meant to message you ) not as bad but have not been using right hand much as had time off of work and now on holiday.
severe pain in left wrist/hand
Hello Jeremy,
I have had surgery on both hands, around 3 years ago? For the last few weeks, pain has been returning in my left wrist/hand and yesterday and today has been unbearable. Driving my car this morning into work was absolute agony! Nothing I do seems to relieve the pain. Do you think this is CTS returning? My hand feels hot and the centre of the pain seems to on the underside of my wrist but radiates through the whole hand.
Symptons have returned
It's now over a year since my last injection and the symptons have now returned. Could you please arrange for me to be seen for repeat treatment. Kind regards David
post op enquiry
I had my surgery on 7/5/16 absolutely no pain at night, a little finger tip numbness but much improved, I am experiencing shooting sensations in my middle finger which feels like an electric shock. Is this normal?
Decision made operation to go ahead
Thank you for your consultation on Monday 9th May. I have now made a decision to go ahead with the operation on my right hand. Please could you advise me if the 11th June at Herne Bay is still available & if so would you be able to arrange an appointment for me? I also would like to ask if an injection appointment could be arranged to my left hand if possible as this is not as severe & I do have a rather troublesome painful little finger that locks up all the time (I assume trigger finger).
Many thanks in anticipation of your help

New pain
I attended the clinic in January and was prescribed a wrist splint, which I have worn every night since. The numbness in my left hand I originally reported has subsided, although it hasn't completely disappeared. However, in the last month, I have noticed an increasing pain in my forearm, starting from my elbow down to my wrist. I have made an apppointment with my GP in w/c 9th May to discuss this development.
Pain return
I had a steriod last August/September in my right wrist which was very effective but over the last few weeks the pain and symptoms have returned
Three weeks wearing splints
Hi,
Right hand dicompression surgery
Hi, Once again I attended Dr John Rine's surgery for the operation, this time on my right hand, my left was done in June 2014 all I can say is that once again what an an amazing result. I am now five days post op and my hand is functioning almost normally albeit the stitches!! I can actually straighten my fingers, which I have not been able to do for a while. I will keep the forum posted to how it goes from here of course. If the man who was at the surgery on Saturday and who had the op prior to myself reads this I would love to know how you are doing? Lisa
Appointment
Hello Dr Bland, I have been very fortunate in that I have been pretty much pain free for over a year. However, the pain has returned with a vengeance and therefore I would be very grateful if I could have an appointment to come and see you.
Many thanks,
Jo
