Pain return
I had a steriod last August/September in my right wrist which was very effective but over the last few weeks the pain and symptoms have returned
Three weeks wearing splints
Hi,
Right hand dicompression surgery
Hi, Once again I attended Dr John Rine's surgery for the operation, this time on my right hand, my left was done in June 2014 all I can say is that once again what an an amazing result. I am now five days post op and my hand is functioning almost normally albeit the stitches!! I can actually straighten my fingers, which I have not been able to do for a while. I will keep the forum posted to how it goes from here of course. If the man who was at the surgery on Saturday and who had the op prior to myself reads this I would love to know how you are doing? Lisa
Appointment
Hello Dr Bland, I have been very fortunate in that I have been pretty much pain free for over a year. However, the pain has returned with a vengeance and therefore I would be very grateful if I could have an appointment to come and see you.
Many thanks,
Jo

Hello dr Bland. I visited the reculver clinic on Saturday for a pre op assessment with dr Rhine. Dr Rhine said that I. Have arthritis in my wrists and felt relluctant to operate on the CTS problem as it may make my wrist pain symptoms worse. He suggested that I visit my G.P. To sort out the arthritis before any thing else is done. I saw Dr Pau today and he said we should try pain killers as a first step, and has prescribed cocodamile. He also said the that steroid injections may be a further option. Have you any suggestions please.

Repeat Injection?
Hi Jeremy,
I had a steroid injection to my right wrist several years ago which was a massive help. Over the last year, my pain has gradually increased again. Is it possible to arrange a further injection?
Carpal-Tunnel clinic
Hello,
I attended the clinic on the 11th February this year and was offered splints, injections or operation. I chose to use the splints and was advised to wear them overnight for four to six weeks. I have done this but, although initially the symptoms seemed to subside, there is no true improvement. What is the next step I should take?
Update on my progress
I contacted you before Christmas and can advise, that as of today's date, I am still enduring pain and numbness in both wrists. It seems to be getting worse during the day, and the same as before during the night.
Follow up information
I saw you about three weeks ago and was given a wrist splint. Thank you. This seems to have worked well for me and the only thing I now get is a slight tingling in the tips of my fingers first thing in the morning but it is not a great problem and generally i do not notice it at all.
Thank You
follow-up appointment
I previously had my carpal tunnel released on my LH back in 1990.
In 2012 I had tests with you for my RH and since that time I have been using a splint. However I now have to wear this every night and it is becoming less effective. I am also having problems when driving with the pins and needles and numbness to my RH.
I would like if possible to have the carpal tunnel released on my RH, and wondered if I have been discharged from your clinic since 2012, or do I have to get a new referral to be seen again?
many thanks
