Post surgery
Was just wondering how long after surgery can it take for the hand to fully heal.
My CTS
The treatment for my Carpal-Tunnel seems to have worked.
Please help
Hello Dr bland, my email to your department was rejected so I hope this reaches you. I have already visited your clinic twice and have had 2 injections, which were successful for approx 1 year. The last injection was some 18 months ago but I have had discomfort now for approx 4 months. The tingling in my right hand is now severe, both night and day, with the left being less so. Can you advise next step I should take please. Thanks
Results of refferal
Hello dr Bland, I saw dr Khan at QEQM yesterday. He confirmed that I have Ostio arthritis and not rheumatoid arthritis and suggested that I should continue with the carpel tunnel treatment followed by physio therapy for the arthritis. What do you think?

Worse after splints
Hi - I had an appointment last week at your clinic and was diagnosed with "mild CTS" in both hands, although I was also told that my symptoms (pain and stiffness in left hand, numbness in right hand) would suggest that I may have more than just CTS going on. I've been wearing the splints for a few nights but already in the mornings my hands are markedly _worse_ after having worn the splints. They're both (but particularly my right hand) incredibly stiff and painful, and it takes about 10 minutes before I can coax them into being more than crab claws grafted on the ends of my wrists.
Fallen down between the cracks
Dear Dr Bland.
follow up treatment
Good Evening,
i would like to request a follow up appointment.
I was given splints following an appointment on 4th May for a diagnosis of cts in both hands, more on the right. the splints have helped when sleeping but, i think i need the next step of the treatment process as I'm still suffering the same problems during day to day activities and I have noticed a significant lack of strength in my right forearm.
I believe steroid injections were the next step.
I have tried using over the counter anti inflammatory drugs but after 2 or 3 days use these affect my stomach.
Thank you
Re CTS
Hi, I have an appointment to see you on the 28/7 as I am working the 2 earlier appointments offered to me. Since I had the injections last June, the left hand is good but the right is now giving me pain all the time, which I never had before. I get shooting pain into the hand and from the wrist up the arm. This morning due to the CTS I spilt a cup of tea into my lap, and after reading some of the posts on the forum I'm now worried I might drop something. I work with newborn babies and their mums and I'm just wondering if it would be better to wear the splint at work too, as well as at night.
had injections on tuesday 28th june
It seams that the injections have helped but I have a pin in my left wrist, the injection had to go in right on the site of the scar from this operation and since then my whole wrist area really aches, not sure if this is to be expected?
returning pain and numbness
My pain has returned after an injection four months ago, last night I woke up with a completely dead hand and arm returning with immense pain.
Can I have the injection done again please
