Steroid injection

I have done a new severity score. My right hand is playing up again and has been for quite a few months. I wondered if it is possible to have another injection. I have been wearing a wrist strap but it doesn't seen to be helping.

The severity of numbness and frequency has increased and now affects both hands. I have completed a new Severity Score.

Steroid injection

I had the steroid injection 2 weeks ago. I still have numbness in my index finger and have only noticed a small about 20% difference in my hand. Is this too early to know whether the injection has worked. Thank you

closure and thank you

Jeremy, Just a final note to thank you, and Emma of course, for the outstanding treatment you have given me over the past 5 years. Both wrists have now been operated, (both in Faversham) and the second one is healing fast. Both procedures were totally problem free and the Surgeons & support staff were wonderful throughout both visits. I remember telling Emma on my first visit that the only things which cause me to cringe and feel faint are, having the inside of my wrists touched, needles, blood, and the thought of being cut by a knife.

Pain, weakness and knumbness

Hi Dr Bland

I don’t know if there is anything you can do seeing as you know I have HNPP but I’m experiencing bad pain, weakness and numbness in my hands and arms. Also as you know I have had both hands and both elbows operated on without success. Is there anything that you can do or will I need to be referred to a neurologis? I dropped a hot cup of tea in my lap and it burnt so I’m very concerned.

Hand splints

I have attended the clinics at Canterbury and have been given hand splints for my hands, I was just wondering how I get new ones as the metal plate has come through the material and digging into my hands, thanks

Appointment Required

Morning. My Right Hand has become severely worse over the last few weeks. Numbness and painful during the night, numb fingers whilst working on my laptop. I believe its time for a jab.

Good morning Dr Bland,

Firstly I have just completed a new severity score. It has been a year since my last injection in my right wrist (dominant hand). It made a great improvement in my symptoms but sadly they are returning. Symptoms including numbness, aching, pain, difficulty with grip and dexterity. Could I have an appointment for another injection please?
