6 years on after opeations

Hi it's almost six years since having both hands carpel done and apart from occasional twinge in right hand, no problems at all to date. A big thankyou to you and your team for the injections prior to ops.
Kind Regards

Appointment Please - Gerald Irvine

Its been 9 months since I last attended your clinic. Right hand has improved, the left hand, left arm both upper and lower and left rear shoulder have deteriorated significantly. I would very much appreciate another appointment.

Could I have an appointment please

Hi Dr Bland,

I have had trouble with my right hand for a couple of months now, numbness/pain/tingling, which is affecting my sleep, my working day and the ability to hold things. My last appointment was early 2024 and resulted in an injection which worked wonders until recently.

Would it be possible to have a new appointment please.

Thank you
Hayley

symptons returned

Hi Dr Bland

Could I have another appointment please as my symptons have returned, I think it is aprox 15months since my last injections. I have done another severity score. thankyou.

Wrist support query

A few months in from my second injection and, other than one numb tip of finger, all is going well.
I have a wrist splint for my right carpal tunnel, but I am beginning to wake up with numb fingers on my left hand. I think I am laying on it awkwardly when I am asleep, so I would like to get a splint for my left wrist. Can you suggest the best place to get one as there are so many different ones out there?

Severity score

Hi Dr Bland

Please see an updated severity score. I’m still having difficulty post carpel tunnel release. Please could I make an appointment to discuss.

Many thanks

Update

I have just submitted a new severity form

Bruising

Good morning, I came into the clinic last Wednesday for my steroid injection in both wrists my left wrist feels mostly back to normal however my right one has quite a deep bruise and I'm finding writing/typing very difficult with sometimes sharp pains going in my hand/up my arm? Not sure if it's because I'm right handed therefore it's taking longer to heal? But it's quite painful/worrying as haven't had this type of reaction before to an injection.

Successful operations

Operations in June and November at Estuary View Whitstable on left and right hand.

No recurrence of night-time numbness or pain in either hand since and no more need for "dangling". Also no scarring easily visible on either hand which is pretty remarkable. Slight numbness in fingertips remains which make buttons a bit of a fiddle.

I put off having operations for over twenty years suffering years of disturbed sleep as a consequence. Just want to reassure those with severe CTS to get the operations if offered.

Thank you Jeremy.

CTS record results

When I attended my latest appointment at the William Harvey Hospital we had a look at my latest CTS record/Severity Assessment results however the results showed a blank for the 'Chance of CTS'. I was told to contact Dr Jeremy Blind so that you could have a look at my results and see if there is a chance of my carpal tunnel returning. Thank you
