Would it be possible to have an appointment to review the symptoms of my right hand please. It has become progressively worse over the last month. Thank you

Hi I have added a new severity assessment for my carpal tunnel. I had an injection in the right wrist in August but the symptoms and pain have come back and are quite severe.

Returning problems to my right hand

My right hand has started to go numb, especially when I am a sleep, or using my laptop.

Returning problems in both arms and wrists

Good afternoon.

It has been a while since I last saw you where I had injections in my right wrist which helped my problem, thank you.

Over the last couple of years I have experienced a return of the pain in my right hand and more so up the arm which sometimes is extremely painful and keeps me awake at night, I have had to go back wearing the hand brace at night and sometimes during the day.

I have also mild (ish) pain in my left hand and arm which has increased, possibly due to the trapped nerve in the elbow.

I have filled out another assessment form on the site.

Its back

Sorry to bother you but the pains are back I think the steroid injections have worn off . Its mainly my thumb and first finger in both hands and it is waking me up at night. No problems during the day when I am active.

Wearing wrist braces at night.

To Dr Jeremy Bland. Hi I have worn the wrist brace's on both hands now for 6weeks at night time. I must admit the last couple of weeks have been dreadful. The pains in both hands has increased and in my right hand is becoming more painful including my fingers becoming rigid and painful. I have been removing the wrist braces in the early hours of the mornings due to being uncomfortable and in severe pain I have continued loss of grip in both hands [ more so the right hand] I am experiencing continued throbbing and ache's in fingers.

Positive outcome

I had suffered for some time with burning and tingling in both hands. However not until I could no longer do up shirt buttons or pick up small items did I decide to do something about it. I had short term relief with injections on three occasions . I then had surgery on my left hand in April 2021 and my right hand in September 2022. I now never have tingling or burning sensation waking me at night and feeling in my index and thumb has returned enough to allow me to carry out tasks that require the necessary sensation.
