Returning symptoms in Right hand and new symptoms in left

I saw Dr Bland in March 2023, and, after assessment, received a steroid injection into my right wrist - plus advice on using a wrist splint overnight. This treatment worked a treat. However, I mislaid my wrist splint while on holiday last September. Symptoms in my right hand started to recur around December and by Christmas I started to wake at night with pain in my right hand. I have purchased a Boots wrist splint, which I wear overnight - and this has eased the pain; but I am still getting tingling in the fingers during the day.

Re-occurence of symptoms

Having last seen you 2017/2018 (I cannot remember exact date), after having tests and steriod injections in both wrists. Since then I have had no real problems, but as of the last few weeks both wrists have been very painful. I would appreciate an appointment to see you again. Ps I have Carried out a Severity Assessment test

Regards
Barry Crudgington

Returning pain

The pain and tingling has returned in my left hand and fingers, waking me in night and finding sleep difficult, would it be possible to have another injection, many thanks

Returning symptoms

Hello. Symptoms are gradually returning and are starting to be problematic. Also have a GP appointment in a week for what is likely to be trigger finger in middle L finger, which is causing pain and weakness.

Symptoms returning

Good morning Dr Bland and team,

I had an injection for carpal tunnel 4 years ago (?) And gave up going to the gym, which has largely kept my symptoms at bay. However, recently the pain, swelling and tingling has returned. Night time pain has been quite severe, and upon waking in the mornings I can't even close my hands. I often cannot bend my index fingers (this has been intermittent for the last few years now). I have had blood tests and x rays to check for the presence of arthritis last year which came back negative.

Worsening CTS

Hi Team,

Confirmed CTS on 11/10/23, recieved steroid injection to right wrist on the day. Post injection symptoms were relieved in regard to pin and needles and numbness however there general aching continued.
For the past 6 weeks I have noted the pins and needles have returned and worsening numbness. Evening and night times are worse especially if I have been at work for the day.
My work is very manual and involves heavy use of my hand, my dexterity is an issue which is becoming more apparent in my day to day work (I am a clinical lead with the renal dialysis nursing team)

CTS has returned

I submitted a new assessment on the 12th Jan and haven't heard from you as yet. I would appreciate it if I could see you asap as it is driving me mad. Thankyou.

Recurrence of symtoms

Hello! I've been experiencing quite problematic symptoms in my right hand. I've completed the severity questionnaire. I would be grateful if I could be seen again for a review please.

Update

Hi, can you let Emma know my recent injections have been a great success and also they have relieved my tendonitis in my wrist ( I haven't got her email address) Many thanks!

Appointment please

Please can I be booked in for steroid injections. My last treatment was around spring 2023 and worked very well.

Many thanks
Tony Woodruffe
