Returning symptoms following injections

Hi,

I had steroid injections in both wrists in May 2018 and after 7 months of no symptoms at all then have sadly returned with pins and needles in both hands at night time. The right hand is particularly bad. A splint helps but doesn’t stop the pins and needles completely and is awkward when trying to sooth a 11 month old baby during the night. Would it be possible to arrange another appointment please?

Jennie

Six week review

Hi, i had steroid injection back in Nov. The severe pain has stopped and on the whole so has the pins and needles and tingling. However, I do have some nights where I wake with the pins and needles or hold my hand in the same position for too long! Overall an improvement to when I came to see you. Let's hope it continues!
Thank you

Amyloid

Six Week Review

Hi,

As requested, I am writing to let you know how my symptoms are since my steroid injections on the 3rd December. I have had no pain or numbness on either side, just some tingling in both hands.

6 weeks review of injections

I had injections in both wrists on 12th November - this was my second treatment. On the whole the treatment has worked. The nightly pain has stopped altogether. The numbness in my fingers has also stopped other than (both hands) the tips of my middle finger and ring finger. There is a slight tingling and numbness more so on the right.

5 weeks post op

Hi, I had the release op on my left hand about 5 weeks ago, my hand has healed but I have painful white lumps where each of stitches were, I had disposable stitches which didn't appear to dissolve at all and a nurse pulled them out as much as possible just over a week ago. She also put me on antibiotics as there is a hard lump to the side of it, this started to go down but now the antibiotics have stopped its appearing to get worse, with pain up and very sensative and the lump is back at the side. However gp nurse isn't confident it's an infection as no heat or redness.

Injections

Hi I was diagnosed with carpal tunnel at the end of October and had steroid injections in both wrists I'm pleased to say my right wrist seems to be responding great but my left I'm still getting the pins and kneedles and pain that is now waking me at night having to use a splint that I did not have to use before

Three weeks post-op

Hello. I had surgery on my right wrist on 31st October. The op went very well and, for anyone who's worried about having it done, please don't be concerned. I'm the biggest wuss and managed to get through it by chatting aimlessly to the surgeon and the lovely nurse.

Symptoms worsening

Hi I visited your clinic back in January, I have been wearing splints ever night since them however my hands are getting considerably worse! I’m constantly awake at night, continuously dropping things and for the last few weeks been taking pain killers to try and help with the pain. Can I book in to see you please?
