For Canterbury patients
steroid injection about a year ago
I had a very successful injection on my assessment day appointment at Canterbury about a year ago, could be longer. I am now noticing the symptoms again in my right hand, pain, tingling and difficulty writing. Is there a way I can get another appointment as last time it seemed to progress to severe quite quickly from the symptoms I am feeling at present.
Many thanks
Louise Wynne

Message for Dr Bland
I last had an injection about a year and half ago which was my 7th one. Am now a Nana and picked up my grandson and ouch not a good idea. I feel it may now be time for considering an operation. But I do need an appointment with Dr Bland first for retesting. Have rang around and also found your web site, and it was suggested to me might be a better way of getting an appointment with you. Replacement hand splints
Please can you let me know how I go about getting replacement splints for my hands
They seem to be working 98%of the time and I am happy to continue with them but they are getting a bit tatty.
Symptoms back
Dear Dr Bland
I had my first injection in both hands on 28th January. My pins and needles/the numbness in my hands came gradually back at night. These symptoms are now preventing me from sleeping properly. I'm starting to have a bit of these symptoms during the day too.I also feel pain in my right wrist. Could this be related to CTS? I feel it's time to arrange an appointment for a second injection. I just hope this one will work for longer.
