splints

I've worn the splints for 3 weeks every night and have now slept for a week without them on, I havnt had pins and needles or numbness in my right hand (the hand I have carpal tunnel in)since but strangely im now experiencing pins and needles in my left hand - I did wear the splint on this hand for the 3 weeks Should I continue to wear the splint on my left hand and if so for how long? Thankyou

Surgery

Hi I have got to have surgery on both hands but what I wanted to ask is if your asleep for the surgery, because if you have to be awake I don't know if I could do it.

Would be grateful for people's comments.

Painful and swollen elbow

Hi I came to see you today and was diagnosed with grade 5 in both hands. What I forgot to mention was that for over a year I have also had pain and swelling in my right elbow, at first my gp thought it could be tennis elbow but it's not actually in the joint it's more muscle. Do you think this could all be to do with CTS or would I have it in both elbows as I have it in both hands?

splints not helping

I have been using splints on both hands for a while now and they did help to start bit now the pain and discomfort has got so much worse and I now get it all through the day not just at night.

Pain in left elbow

The pain I feel is in the elbow, not the wrist. I answered the questions where "wrist" was mentioned, but my answers refer to the elbow.

Using CT splints

Using the splints you gave me, [apart from difficulty getting used to sleeping with them], I have had only two episodes of waking up with numbness/tingling. However, I am still having difficulty with numbness/ tingling during the day. Is this likely to be due to the thumb spicas I wear for severe osteoarthritis of both thumbs?

Dr Samuels appointment

I saw Dr Samuels today. He would like you to test my left elbow. I seemed to remember some form of test that was carried out on 31/5/13 , but could not be certain. If this is the case Dr Samuels did not seem to have the results Regards Simon

Follow up

In July I went to see Dr Warillow of Challock GP Practice for a follow up after my steriod injection (as you recommended I should do).

He felt that I should have another nerve conduct study and that there was nothing I needed to do, the practice would be in contact with your clinic.

I have not heard anything from anyone since and am left wondering what the best course of action is now.

Symtoms worse in left hand

Hi

After having injecxtions in both hands early this year and then a successful operation on my right hand in April, my left hand is getting alot worse.

I have numbness, tingling and pins & needles badly during the night and also am now getting these during the day. I wonder if this is because I have been using my left hand alot more than normally as I am now driving and also used my left hand alot more after my operation on the right?

Would i be able to have another injection in my left hand?

Appointment for injection

Hello

I came in on Sat 13th July and have been wearing my splint overnight, it has helped a little as I do not wake up as much however my pain and loss of feeling still occurs during the day. Please could I book an appointment for an injection with you?
