Return of Symptoms in left hand

I saw you on March 11th this year and had an injection in my left wrist in April at Wye Surgery. About 3 weeks ago I was woken up with burning pain, pins and needles in my left hand. The thumb, index and middle finger. Started to wear my brace again helped for a few nights but now doesn't do anything. Every night it is getting worse. Leaving me with a dull ache up to my elbow. Fingers swell and tingling all the time across the whole hand also my finger joints feel very stiff. Injection haven't lasted as long as I hoped.

Ann

RETURN OF CTS IN LEFT HAND

Hi Dr Bland. Everything has been doing great since steroid injections in both hands on the 30 July 2013. 3 days ago I helped move several pieces of heavy furniture. This seems to have triggered pain in the left hand. The first night I woke with pins and needles in it. 2nd night very mild pain and pins and needles. Last night I woke with pain in my thumb and on waking this morning I had considerable pain in the whole of my thumb and in my palm. At the moment I am out of the Country, but return next week on Wednesday 9th.

post op 2 mths 1 week

Had op 27. 7.13. On left hand. Recovery seems to be taking a lot longer, than right hand, which only took about 3weeks to get better. Base of my palm feels really tight and my grip not too good. Also for the 1st 6wks had considerable pain, weakness ,numbness in my thumb. Which never had pre op. It is improving now. But still quite weak n tight. Is this to be ecpected? Thanks for your time. Surgery

Hi dr bland

I have got a surgery date for next Friday 11th with a dr Nichols or Nicholson? Just wanted to know what he is like as wanted Andrew smith.

Also I am really scared as they do it under local and I suffer really bad with anxiety so don't know how I will cope. Is there anybody that will do this under a GA for me as I'm petrified

Regards

Vicky

Surgery Waiting List

Hi

Wondering if you could help? I have had the test for Carpal Tunnel and have scored 3 in both hands. I have been referred to Mr Smith and was wondering how long the waiting list is for surgery as I have a 10wk college course I would like to attend. It is due to start on Nov 4th and I don't want to refuse surgery if I get an appointment date!

Can you please help?

Many thanks
