Feedback

Just reporting back: I had both wrists injected on Monday morning, after about five minutes in the waiting area. The procedure was completed expertly with minimal discomfort - I gave a score of 1/10 on the pain scale. I took some care not to engage in the kind of activity which last week provoked hand pain, until yesterday (three days). Then I carried heavy shopping, dug the garden and pulled brambles - all previously guaranteed to cause me to wake in pain in the early hours. There was no pain.

Thank you for seeing me today.

RETURN OF CTS IN BOTH HANDS

Since last injections (left April right May) had no probs til last week. Palm of both hands felt tight and sore to open when waking up in morning - no symptoms during night. As the week has progressed they have gone slightly worse. As pain goes from palm then get pins n needles in to fingers. It lasts up to about half hour. No probs during day or through the night. Not sure if this is the start of getting worse again and requiring treatment.

Date for Injections

Thank you for seeing me yesterday and I can confirm that I have an appointment made for steriod injections at Wye Surgery on 7th August and I'll update you with how it goes!

Many Thanks for all your help so far,

Kind Regards

Steroid injection?

Hi Dr Bland,

After my initial consultation with you on Saturday 13th July, I did as you requested and read your forum and all about the treatments.
I had wanted the surgery to begin with as my brother has had a successful operation. After some thought, I have decided to try an injection if this is possible please? Unfortunately I am not very good with needles!!!
I have been wearing the splint you provided at night but am still experiencing tingling and numbness during the day.

Thanking you in advance,

Sharon

losing sleep

I 'phoned your clinic a couple of months ago and left a message, having woken in the early morning with severe pain in my left hand which persisted for perhaps 30 minutes. You were kind enough to respond and to try to contact me on more than one occasion but I missed your calls and having suffered no repetition of such severity - in fact, a symptom-less week's holiday when I did nothing much more than drive, eat and drink - I did not follow the matter up. My apologies.
