Steroid injections appointment
Hello Dr Bland, I visited you some weeks ago with regard to my CPS. You gave me splints to wear and also gave me a letter informing me to arrange an appointment to receive steroid injections. I have just returned from holiday but being very stupid I have lost the telephone number to arrange the appointment. Sorry to be a pain in the butt but could you give me the telephone number again please.
Cheers, Phil
referral?
Hi I was diagnosed with CTS about 2yrs ago. I have recently been to Physio (self referred) about my hands and other joint problems. They have suggested I return to you for an update on the severity of my symptoms (conduction test?) as they would like confirmation that this is not part of my other joint problems. Do I need to go back to my GP or can I self refer to you? mackchhands
update of progress
Hi Dr bland
just to update you following my initial appointment in June this year. There has been a definite improvement since wearing the splints at night. Not waking up with the same degree of numbness. Occasional burning pain usually following lots of lifting or gardening. .
Many thanks
Jenny M.
Update on injection
I'm really happy to report I have no symptoms whatsoever after just one injection. Dr Bland, just one question. If it comes back again do I have to go through my GP or can I come straight to you on this forum Thank you so much for your cheerful and successful treatment.
Update injections
I am writing on behalf of my mother who attended your clinic on the 22nd July 13. Since having the injections she has had excellent nights sleep and has not experienced any numbness night or day. The only symptom she has had is a slight tingling in the right wrist. She wishes me to thank you for your prompt treatment. One question I would have is if the symptoms get worse again can she contact you ( the clinic) or does she have to go back to her GP.

Getting worse
Hi Dr Bland
I have been wearing my splints since I saw you. However recently both hands and wrists have been getting a lot worse. Can I come back in to see you to see and talk about other options?
Feedback
Just reporting back: I had both wrists injected on Monday morning, after about five minutes in the waiting area. The procedure was completed expertly with minimal discomfort - I gave a score of 1/10 on the pain scale. I took some care not to engage in the kind of activity which last week provoked hand pain, until yesterday (three days). Then I carried heavy shopping, dug the garden and pulled brambles - all previously guaranteed to cause me to wake in pain in the early hours. There was no pain.
Appointment for injections
Thank you for seeing me today.
I have made an appointment for injection for 20th August....Will update you once I have had it done.
Regards
