post operation update
Hi
I was diagnosed as 5 RH and 3 LH in november 2012
I had an operation (RH) on 21st January 2013. Operation carried out by Mr Smith and I was hopeful of a better outcome. I am still suffering CTS, not quite as severe as before the operation.
CTS in LH is becoming increasingly noticeable particularly early am. Can you advise re further testing, way forward.
thanks
return of symptoms
Hi Dr bland
The symptoms have come back once again..... I think my 3rd and last injection was back in September, so at least it lasted a little while longer....but it certainly seems to be coming back with full vengeance again .... Is there any way i would be able to come in to see you to discuss options at all.
Many thanks
Tanya

Dear doctor bland have been trying to get in contact with you for months now as injections all though verry sucessful ,as previously were,it has taken so long to get a reply to my enquires, that my apparent carple tunnel has properly flared up and am now at the point where i am nearly unable to work.{ carpenter &joiner}. my rist almost feels as if broken ,so tender ,all the usual numbness, fingers both hands dead at night wakeing up every hour, NEW ONE acheing like tooth ache going up arm to elbow constently 24 hrs.
CTS Update of 24.3.13
Dear Dr. Bland
Thank you for your reply of 24th March 2013 in respect of my update of same date. I was pleased to have your reassurance and that I can consult you again should I feel it to be necessary. Many thanks. Jeannie
Update
Dear Mr Bland,
(I sent this as an email 6 days ago (19th March), it has been returned undelivered.
Fearing it might bounce back again I have posted it here.)
I had an appointment with you in Canterbury on the 4th Feb at 2pm and following a nerve conduction test. I was found to have a reading of LH = 2 & RH = 5 as a result I saw you afterwards and you provided me with splints and booked an appointment at Beltinge & Reculver Surgery for 13/4/13 for a carpel tunnel operation along with one on 27/4/13 for removal of stitches.
CTS Update
UPDATE
Further to my first appointment on 1st March 2012, my update of 25th Sept 2012 and your reply of 26th Sept 2012.
As my hands had improved, as suggested, I left off the splints nightly for a week or so. Because of a weakness in my arms/particularly wrists (thought to have originally been brought on by simvastation) I decided I was happier wearing the splints nightly after all and have been doing so up to the present day.

Mum has asked me to report severe pain in left hand which has been particularly bad today from 5 o'clock in the morning
Thumb , index and middle finger are all affected and have been for the last few weeks.
Would it be possible to have an injection ( I can't remember if/when she has had one for the left hand ) but she is also keen to have the operation in the light of the success with the right hand
I should have mentioned this 2 weeks ago when she first told me but just never got round to it- apologies

after op symptoms
Hi Dr bland, I had my op on 12th jan i am still getting symptoms tingeling, some pain waking up with dead hands and though it looks ok my the area were the scar is is at times sore, is this normal and is their anything i should do, my gp is not interested with whats going on, thankyou ,m gregory.
Considering Injections
Dear Dr Bland
Following the consultation back in November when CTS was confirmed in the Left Hand 3, and Right Hand 2, I decided to continue to use a splint on the left hand only, at night. I am now occasionly woken with numbness in both hands and when relaxing suffer numbness in both hands due to their position. Therefore I would now like to try injection/s. What would be my next step please?
Regards
Ian
Successful Operation
Dear Dr Bland,
I had an operation on my right wrist with Dr Rine at the Herne Bay Clinic on Saturday, 16th February 2013. My recovery so far has been good and I am very happy with the results. The cut has almost completely healed and I can do pretty much everything without any CTS pains.
Many many thanks!
