Return of symptoms

I had injections in both my wrists on 30/04/12, after a painful first couple of weeks the pain in my wrists was extremly good up until late October. I am now finding it hard to bend my right wrist and am being woken everynight with pins and needles in both hands. Do I need to see my GP to be referred for retesting or injections.

Update on CTS symptons after using splints for 4 weeks

I am pleased to report that there has been a significant improvement in my CTS symptons since wearing splints as advised. following the conductive testing carried out at the Canterbury Clinic on 17th January, 2013.
I wear the splints every night and also during the day when doing any repetitive or heavy housework, such as ironing, vacuuming or cleaning, and also when carrying or lifting heavy loads or when driving long distances.

How long between operations?

I'm shortly going to have the operation on my right hand and wondered how long you would leave between doing the first hand and second hand?
I had my left hand injected on 25 October and the symptoms are beginning to return - much sooner than I would have anticipated. So long as I am happy with the outcome on my right hand, I would like the left hand done as soon as possible after that - it's extremely tiring each time the symptoms return.

After my consultation and injections yesterday I have decided to go ahead with the operation on my right hand.

is it possible to be put on the list please? And is it possible to have the procedure done at QEQM?

Would like to try the injections please

Hello! After visiting you around September/October time I have slept with the splint every night and sometimes in the day. At first I thought it was improving slightly but unfortunately it has now got unbearably worse, with now a burning sensation. It is mainly the left hand but sometimes I can feel it slightly in the right. I would now like to try the injections please, many thanks.

Be part in the ultrasound experiment

Hello! It is Sefora, I was at the clinic last Thursday 31 of January. I had a talk with my manager and it is not a problem for me to be part of the ultrasound experiment.
I am going on holiday, probably the last two weeks of April. I wonder if the experiment could be done before I go on holiday or it will have to be after I return.

Request for operation

I have now had a month since my last appointment and feel the only option i have to relieve the problem is an operation.
What should my next course of action be and how long should i expect to wait?

Have been advised to contact you on this forum as I have had difficulty getting in contact with you on the telephone.
I had my operation on my left hand last year and my right hand s becoming uncomfortable so need the operation on this hand due to my work commitments I would like if possible to have the operation at a certain date and need to discuss this with you.

Re-testing 5/2/13

I was tested last year and found to be grade 1 in both hands. I received steroid injections in April 2012, which (once I'd got over the pain and shock, I'm not good with injections.....bit of a baby if I'm honest) were wonderful. I could take lids off jars and even started baking bread, with no difficulty kneading. In October, I started noticing that I couldn't move my hands as well.

Splints

After having a consultation with you last Tuesday, I have been using the splints at night over the past 9 days and only once have I had numbness in the hand. Before using the splints I was getting this every night.

I have a steroid injection booked, in your opinion do you feel I need this at the moment?
