Injection

Today I have had an injection for CTS in my right wrist at Westbrook House and I have to say in spite of the nerves it was less painful than some blood tests I have had. I really hope this works. I have another appointment in April to have it in the left wrist as the pain is nowhere near that in the right. I do have one question I was recommended to wear my splint for the next 2 weeks, should I be wearing it all of the time or is night time sufficient?

Family history of carpal tunnel & pregnant

I have an appointment on 28 Feb. I have had symptoms of CTS since I was 3 months old. I have had decompressions on both hands at the ages of 5 and 14. I am left handed and my median nerve has showed no response at nerve conduction studies for many years and I still have 'moderate' CTS in my right hand. It has been suggested that I do not have CTS but something that presents with the symptoms of CTS which I why the decompressions have not worked.

Request for Injection

After my appointment on the 7th Feb I have considered the ultra sound option but have discounted this as it would not be practical due to family commimtents. I would therefore like to go ahead with the Injections, could you please advise how I go about progressing with this.

Many thanks.

Would it please be possible to get an official letter about my carpal tunnel op to my left hand for my employer as I have requested the time off work and they would like confirmation my date for opp was 13/04/2013 with Dr John Rine at Beltinge and Reculver surgery. Peter Flower Thank you for your time.

3rd Injection?

I've been delighted with the results of both my 1st and 2nd injections but unfortunately CTS symptoms have returned. Is it possible to have another injection yet, and if so,do I need to go to my G.P for a referral? I've only used this website previously to fill out the questionnaire, but logged on this evening as the symptoms have made me feel so miserable! It really is so informative and encouraging, sort of feeling better already!

CTS following splint treatment

I have worn splints each night on both hands as directed and have not experienced any relief......please advise further.

Return of symptoms

I had injections in both my wrists on 30/04/12, after a painful first couple of weeks the pain in my wrists was extremly good up until late October. I am now finding it hard to bend my right wrist and am being woken everynight with pins and needles in both hands. Do I need to see my GP to be referred for retesting or injections.

Update on CTS symptons after using splints for 4 weeks

Hello again!
I am pleased to report that there has been a significant improvement in my CTS symptons since wearing splints as advised. following the conductive testing carried out at the Canterbury Clinic on 17th January, 2013.
I wear the splints every night and also during the day when doing any repetitive or heavy housework, such as ironing, vacuuming or cleaning, and also when carrying or lifting heavy loads or when driving long distances.
