Pins and needles
I came for a consultation on 26/10/17 and had a steroid injection in my right wrist, I have started back at work this month since returning from maternity leave and I am experiencing a lot of pins and needles and loss of feeling in my fingertips.
I was offered an operation in October which I declined as I wanted to see if the steroid injection would work first.
As it seems the injection is wearing off, please could I make arrangements to have the operation completed?
Symptom Severity Score
Thanks for the email. I did a Symptom Severity Score on the 15th January and just wanted to check whether or not you have received this.
Appointment Request
Good morning Dr Bland. Been quite a while since my last visit to your clinic. Can you please let me know if you have any appointments available for me as I am waking up at night with awful pain in both hands again. Many thanks

Having spend the last weeks since my appointment with you wearing my splints at night, I can report a major improvement in both hands, with only a few instances just recently of numbness when I woke up. I still get numbness and pins and needles when on the phone or driving but not as much.
Update on progress.
Hi, I had my injections in both wrists on the 1st December which I had no after effects from. I immediately had improvement in my right hand and after a couple of days I had no tingling or any other problems which is great. The left hand remained the same and did so for about 4 weeks. Since then I have noticed that the tingling/numbness has reduced and I only feel it in my finger tips. It's a vast improvement but can be a nuisance when driving or carrying bags of shopping. Otherwise I am quite happy with the result of my injections.

Dear Dr Bland
I would like to report what I believe is a significant improvement in both my wrists since seeing you on 22/12/17.
My new larger splint has been much more comfortable to wear at night and I have been woken much less by numbness and tingling in my right hand. I have left off the splint on my left wrist as suggested by you and I believe the symptoms at night have been similar to what they were previously. At night time now I would not say my right hand was worse than my left.
Referral
Good morning Doctor Bland
Unfortunately I haven't seen much improvements in my wrists. I have been wearing my splints as much as possible and using voltarol and oral ibuprofen with not much change.
When I saw you last you said you could refer me to the hand clinic, is this still possible please?
Happy New year

Return of symptoms
Hi, I had steroid injections back in May, which worked brilliantly until just before Christmas, almost over night they have gone back to how they were before the injections. What do you suggest?
