Update on progress.

Hi, I had my injections in both wrists on the 1st December which I had no after effects from. I immediately had improvement in my right hand and after a couple of days I had no tingling or any other problems which is great. The left hand remained the same and did so for about 4 weeks. Since then I have noticed that the tingling/numbness has reduced and I only feel it in my finger tips. It's a vast improvement but can be a nuisance when driving or carrying bags of shopping. Otherwise I am quite happy with the result of my injections.

Dear Dr Bland
I would like to report what I believe is a significant improvement in both my wrists since seeing you on 22/12/17.
My new larger splint has been much more comfortable to wear at night and I have been woken much less by numbness and tingling in my right hand. I have left off the splint on my left wrist as suggested by you and I believe the symptoms at night have been similar to what they were previously. At night time now I would not say my right hand was worse than my left.

Referral

Good morning Doctor Bland

Unfortunately I haven't seen much improvements in my wrists. I have been wearing my splints as much as possible and using voltarol and oral ibuprofen with not much change.

When I saw you last you said you could refer me to the hand clinic, is this still possible please?

Happy New year

Return of symptoms

Hi, I had steroid injections back in May, which worked brilliantly until just before Christmas, almost over night they have gone back to how they were before the injections. What do you suggest?

Steroid injections

Having had repeat Steroid Injections in both wrists on 16th November 2017. I can report that the symptoms have eased in both wrists and at present are bearable.

Many thanks and a Happy New Year

Return of symptoms

Morning, my symptoms have returned after about two years, I have had my right wrist injected twice, with instant relief. Am I able to have it done again? I have filled out a questionnaire and currently wear a splint with minimal effect.
Kind regards
Laura.

Appointment

Hello, Would you be able to give me some advise please; The injections I've had don't seem to have worked, I still use the splints which are really good, but the problem I've got is that I'm now under rheumatology and Endocrinolgy. Rheumatology are doing tests for systemic arthritis and lupus. I had a big injection in my bum and it got rid of some of my symptoms but not all, I'm wondering what to do about the CPS whether you would think of surgery or wait to see what results come back from other doctors. Don't know what pain is from what problem, thanks. Darren

Advice please

Good morning Doctor Bland

I last came to see you in clinic in February last year. I had injections but can't remember if it was in both wrists, also I'm not sure if it was my 2nd or 3rd lot of injections.

Injection appointment

Hi Dr. Bland I am wearing my splints now for 2 weeks during the night. My left hand is slightly better but now I have pain all the way up to my elbow. My right hand hasn't changed much. I think it got a bit worse. We spoke about injections in both hands on the 15th of December. Could you please confirm the appointment? I have an appointment that morning in a different hospital. So any time after 10 am would be fantastic. Thank you
